I was at this concert but I didn't look too hard for Sarah :-) Actually it's funny how many people I actually ran into at this concert; the guy that lives across the hall from me, the brother of a friend from home (who drove up from K-W just for the concert), an old colleague of mine who also drove up from K-W, etc. etc... It was a good performance, of course. I mean, it *IS* Yo-Yo Ma. :) - - Julian [ Julian C. I mean, it *IS* Yo-Yo Ma. :) Damn, Yo-Yo Ma was here and I didn't even realize it! Oh well, I couldn't have afforded it anyway. He is an *amazing* musician though. Did anyone see his Goldberg variations series on CBC? It was a really ambitious and visionary project, fusing the arts - music, dance, film, architecture, landscaping... One of the episodes was directed by Atom Egoyan, I videotaped it (and the rest of the series) but I gave it to my sister before I had a chance to watch it myself. I haven't been down to the music garden at Harbourfront yet, has anyone? I wonder how it turned out... Did he do anything from the Goldberg variations, Julian? Wouldn't be surprised if Sarah saw it. I know she's into Bach, and the Goldberg variations in particular, we even spoke briefly about Yo-Yo Ma's series when it aired. Steve P.S. "cellist guy" indeed! ;-) ------------------------------ End of navy-soup-digest V2 #3 *****************************
