Mia Sheard opened up for her and i really enjoyed her short but sweet set. Sarah came up shortly after to play her set, i don't remember the setlist off the top of my head but a few notibles to mention are Playing Cards with Judas (always rocks my socks), and the song she ended with (before her encore) which was a new song, so i can't tell you the name of it, but it started off very light and ended very heavy, totally blew me away, as did the rest of her set :) and yes she came up for an encore due to the crowds insistent applause :) Someone yelled out John the 23rd, so she said "okie", and began to play John the 23rd. A fitting end to a great set. She actually played two new songs that i haven't heard before, one was a self-proclaimed 'love song' and the other was the last song of her set that i totally love. In fact, i was in some sort of trance during her entire set, her music tends to do that to people. She played with her entire ensemble, the violins, the cellos, the drummer, the backup singer(yum) :P and the sound was very beautiful. I ended up talking to her after her set and she was as pleasant as ever, and i mentioned that i was excited for her up coming New York show and she said she was scared senseless about that show, but we all know she's going to knock them off their feet. :) So when it was all said and done i was home and still had the urge to listen to more sarah, so i popped in the cd and fell asleep. now wasn't that a pleasant story? :P take care everyone, - -Gian
