Welcome to Music-Issues, a mailing list devoted to the
discussion of all different aspects of the music/recording
industry!

To subscribe: send a message to "majordomo@smoe.org" with
"subscribe music-issues" in the body of the message.

To unsubscribe: send a message to "majordomo@smoe.org" with
"unsubscribe music-issues" in the body of the message unless
you are on the digest, then you need "unsubscribe music-issues-
digest" in the body of the message.

To switch from loose mail to digest, send a message to
"majordomo@smoe.org" with "unsubscribe music-issues
subscribe music-issues digest" in the body of the message.

A few rules:
-No public flaming.  It's one thing to disagree with something
someone says, but it's another to call them names, embarass
them, and discredit their opinion.  Please take it to private
mail.
-No HTML style mail should be sent to the list.
-No binaries posted to the list. If there's something you want
other list members to see, put it on a website and send the
URL to the list
-If your mail bounces for more than 24 hours I reserve the
right to
unsubscribe you from the list.

This list is generally for industry-type discussion, such as:
law, record labels, production and other technical aspects of
recording and music, problems with the industry, upcoming
releases that you are excited about / are a big deal, why
musicians create music/what their motivation is, what is
"good" and "bad," music festivals, etc.  Non-music related
posts will probably not be tolerated unless it is an admin
type message.
