Hey, everyone! Long time no chat! I'm excited to announce that the lovely and talented Randi Driscoll will be playing my living room in Jersey City on Sunday, January 26 at 3:00 pm. Since it's Superbowl Sunday, we're making the show early enough that you can go on to any parties you may be planning to attend OR you can stay at my place and watch the Superbowl with a bunch of people who are fun but not very much into sports! The show is a Project Warmth concert which means that the only "cost" of admission is the donation of a warm coat, blanket, or sweater. These donations will then be distributed to local homeless people who could use a little extra warmth in their lives! Randi Driscoll lives in Los Angeles and has gained national recognition for her song "What Matters", written for Matthew Shephard who was killed several years ago in a hate crime assault. "What Matters" has been featured in several documentaries and was given a special mention in Rolling Stone magazine, in an article featuring Elton John and Melissa Etheridge. The song has also appeared in several educational films and documentaries, including an NBC film on Matthew's life. All proceeds from the song have been generously donated to anti-hate crime charities. Randi's music is beautiful and she has an incredible heart and great sense of humor. I promise you'll have a great time! Visit www.randidriscoll.com for more info on Randi. RSVP to me at w1ggy2@aol.com for directions and further details. My house is easily accessible via car (10 minutes from the Holland Tunnel) and bus. You can also get here via train and ferry. Bring as many friends as you want! Just try and give me an approximate count of who will be coming. Hope to see you there! Amy N. www.edaf.org ------------------------------ End of mariposa-digest V3 #3 ****************************
