I'm not entirely sure how this mailing list works but I was talking with Luna recently and she encouraged me to introduce myself to everybody. If this isn't "the done thing", I apologize in advance. Anyway, here goes: I'm Rick, I'm 22 and I'm originally from Manchester, England but currently located in Sunderland, England - which perhaps makes me one of Luna's first overseas fans. I first met Luna back in October when she was on her European travels. After learning that she was a musician, I asked if I could hear some of her songs - it was my 22nd birthday. She very kindly agreed and what entailed was a hasty 5 mile trek (on foot) in the middle of the night to my friend's house to borrow his guitar. For those of you who've nver been to England, let me tell you that wandering around the North East of England in the middle of the night in October isn't exactly the safest or warmest of activities - kinda like a trip to the North Pole or something. But sure enough, we found a guitar and Luna gave a great accoustic performance in an intimate candle-lit setting for my friends and I. It was a special birthday present and one I will always remember. Since then, we have become friends and kept in touch with e-mail and the occasional chat. Anyway, that is my story.
