And it is very interesting what I have seen so far. I don't know half of the people on this list, except for what Luna has told me. But I wanted to join to see what her friends and "fans" ;-) have to say about her. To answer to the recent posts that I have read so far, I just want to tell everyone what they probably already know: Luna is amazing when she performs live. Her cd is also amazing, but there is nothing compared to seeing the real thing. Seeing her live makes you feel her charm and the real passion she puts into her music. I hope people will make up their mind after seeing her instead of getting confused by other peoples' opinions. I hope I am not repeating what everybody has already said, since I only read the last two posts. With this I go back into hibernation. Good night, all Followers of Joe or Posers???? ;-) Yours truly, Muirgheal ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 24 May 2001 05:43:00 -0400 From: Mike Connell Subject: Re: [mariposa] Bad Moon Rising (or, Luna Over Austin) Followerofjoe@aol.com (aka Dennis, aka HarrisBros) wrote: >Don't pay much attention to Kelli's comments, Jake. This coming from a man who: !) at the JewelStock taping was PO'd at Jewel for yelling (onstage mind you), "God damn ye Harris brothers!" to which Dennis' response was jumping up and down on his seat getting the crowd all riled up, thus delaying Jewel's return to the stage for her final encore and probably costing the Bearsville Studios dozens of dollars in productions costs. 2) Follows Jewel (and no one else) around the USA with a plywood cow, thinking it will somehow serenely calm her by reminding her of her days off hanging at the ranch with Ty Murray roping cattle. I mean seriously.....do you think any of Celine's or Christina's or Britney's or Mariah's fans follows them around the planet with hand-made wooden objects whose sole purpose is to have the artist and fans of the artist emulate a hobby of the artist? Do Britney's fans follow her around with plywood Justin Timberlakes? Do Mariah's fans follow her around with plywood tire swings? A plywood freaking cow? What's next, plywood hotdogs and fries? Dennis just doesn't get it neither. ;-) Mike ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 24 May 2001 21:03:24 EDT From: Soul42@aol.com Subject: [mariposa] Longhorns? Bonjour, I have been trying to get Luna's CD, but have not to get it. (Yes, I am ashamed). We live in the same town so I was suppose to hang out with her and get it, but never did. Anyway, just thought I'd ask if there were any other longhorns or austinites on the list. And if there are any other EDAs too. I must add, I don't remember who said this, but I joined the EDA list like in 1996 and I still feel as passionately about Jewel as I did back then. I am not a blind idol worshipper. I just think she is the Supreme Muse. Haha. She should be able to do anything she wants with her music...even if it is adding african beats, plugging in, turning country, hiphop, or whatever else she wants to do. I will still buy it! (: Anyway, back to Luna...I can't wait to feel the same way about her. (: Really, I just noticed there are not many posts so I thought I'd randomly say something. Have a nice day.
