If he then sent it on to you, well, I'm afraid I can't be held responsible. I say we just all blame Mike - he's used to that anyway! :-) And BTW, Dennis, Luna is far too superior to be on this mailing list. She isn't subscribed. I guess that's so we can gossip about her freely. So, did anyone else hear the rumor that Luna is really an alien? ;-) Jake, if you're still confused, just remember, a really good state of confusion is actually - for many - the main goal in life!!! (But here's a little glossary that can help you along: JOE=Luna's favorite stuffed dog and travelling companion; WOODY=a plywood cow used for practice roping and other abusive acts; DENNIS HARRIS=troublemaker*; ROWDY=all around sweetheart and smartass; MIKE CONNELL=mailing list king and resident fall-guy. That should about cover it. Any other definitions required, let me know!! :-) amy, self-proclaimed head 'poser *of course, I use the term "troublemaker" in the most loving sense!! ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 10 Mar 2001 10:05:51 EST From: W1GGY2@aol.com Subject: Re: [mariposa] balloons??? Absolutely! You're probably burning a good 4, maybe 5 calories per session. Now, if you stick to that all-celery diet, you'll have it made! Throw out that membership to the gym right now! :-) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 10 Mar 2001 10:37:28 -0500 From: Mike Connell Subject: Re: [mariposa] Lemmings de Java, Part 2... It's called being an "accessory after the fact", except in this case it's "accessory before the fact", which I am sure is on the books too. Kind of like if I sell some "bad" cucumbers from my cucumber farm to Heinz, who makes them into pickles and sells them to McDonalds Corp, and you buy a hamburger from a McDonalds and give them to your neighbors' kid and he gets sick and ends up in a hospital being sick from "picklitosis". I myself, in fact would more than likely be named in any subsequent lawsuit, being the cucumber farmer that actually grew the tainted cucumbers. So there. > I say we just all blame Mike - he's used to that anyway! But I am already in jail. Throw another life sentence on me, see if I care. Two more and I have an even dozen! :-) >And BTW, Dennis, Luna is far too superior to be on this mailing list. Dennis is here! Wow, I gotta read back posts. > he >isn't subscribed. Luna is a "he"? Great! She finally got the operation she has been longing for so long. (Kinda makes you wonder why Jewel hasn't gotten HER sex-change operation yet. Lord knows she now has the money) >I guess that's so we can gossip about her freely. So, did >anyone else hear the rumor that Luna is really an alien? OLD NEWS AMY! Try to be up on things OK? We discussed that "alien" theory on this list YEARS ago. NEWBIE!!!! D*mn, sometimes I just hate newbies. What ever happened to that "adopt a newbie" program we were gonna start here a while back? Anyone wanna adopt Amy? >Jake, if you're still confused, just remember, a really good state of >confusion is actually - for many - the main goal in life!!! I'm more of a resident-winter guy, but you nailed Harris right. As for Woody, hasn't he been made into a doghouse YET? Or maybe sold to Elmers'? Mike - not looking forward to posts from that d*mn plywood bovine. Talk about a two-dimensional cow! ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 10 Mar 2001 10:51:44 -0500 From: Mike Connell Subject: Re: [mariposa] Lemmings de Java, Part 2... (Kinda makes you wonder why Jewel hasn't gotten HER sex-change operation yet. Lord knows she now has the money) Dunno what happened, but somehow I lost the "s" of 'she' and made a 'he' out of it when I was replying to Amy's post. So Amy is innocent of all wrongdoing as far as revealing Luna being a 'he' which she isn't. (which is good news actually...I am already on 6 OTHER "musical artists who got a sex change operation" mailing lists and I was, and again am really looking forward to being on one (this one) that isn't) Adding to the confusion, Mike ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 10 Mar 2001 21:38:28 From: "Rowdy White" Subject: [mariposa] being lost, and etc Okay, So now half this list is totally lost, and the other half has delved way into the past... As for the Challenge of pictures, I've made up my mind to scan both of the said pictures (myself sleeping with animals, stuffed and plywood, and of a certain Dennis Harris, with vermillion (sp)eyes making fresh with Joe the stuffed dog, ) and we can just let the list decide who is the most twisted. I guess to add a bit of Luna content to that, I'll include some of the famous beer faerie photos... and as to the comments about how short my bus may be... Well, a gentleman should never brag, but the bus I drive is 25.5 ft long, 12 ft high. =^ and I managed to back it into a parked car two days ago, which is going to cost me $252.50, even though the damage to the vehicle was estimated at less than $50... While I am patting my own back... as for balloons, twist-ties and my amazing skills with such... Hey, some of us are just more gifted than others, what can I say? With my Swiss Army Knife, some play dough, and a size 7 shoe I can completely rebuild a VW bus, or make 57 different style of french-fries, depending on the color of the play dough. About tramping around texas. It is true, I've quit more jobs than some entire families have ever had. One boss I once had asked me why i only came to work three days a week, and I told him that I couldn't make ends meet on two... another job I quit because the boss wore the wrong color shirt. I've quit $20 an hour jobs to work for $7.50 an hour, just because I was tired of the area I was in. I've made whoppers at burger king, I've climbed electric poles, dug ditch, sold gas, played file clerk, wired houses, cleaned toilets, audited movie theatres, sold credit cards over the phone, plowed fields, and for now I am driving a city bus to be able to go to college. I've hitchhiked someplaces even when my truck had gas, just to do something different... Wanderlust is my biggest fault (at least now that I'm out of shock therapy) Aye, I'm not the sharpest tool in the barn, but I have fun most of the time.. :-) - ---- As for Luna being alien... hmmm, I pretty sure that conspiracy theory was based on Jewel... After we ruled out Jewel being the devil, the whole X-file alien thing quickly fell into place.... (for a clue about this, please see the jewel@smoe.org archives for late 98, early 99, somewhere around then. Though, I guess Luna could be an alien... I will come up with a scientific (or maybe not-so-scientific) test to find out... If no one hears from me within a month, then she is an alien, and please send someone to save me from the mother-ship... As an incentive to come save me, while I'm captive, I'll try to secure some material for that Unofficial page *someone* here has mentioned ;-) Anyway.... rowdius _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 10 Mar 2001 19:39:16 -0500 From: "Valerie Meloche" Subject: [mariposa] hahaha These stories are GREAT!! makes me wanna go hitch and find a cow to play with for a while, and maybe even a little dog too!!! But i don't think i can pull of the bus bit of things. will a Winnebago (she's an antique beauty) do for now??? And i guess i owe a 'thanks' to mike for the snow, seeing as how everything is his fault :) how do you find the time to 'right all your wrongs' mike??!!?? And thanks amy for the awesome approval: >Absolutely! You're probably burning a good 4, maybe 5 calories per session. >Now, if you stick to that all-celery diet, you'll have it made! Throw out >that membership to the gym right now! > >:-) This could get me ready for summer in no time!! One problem though, food just tastes too good to only eat 'textured water' (celery) for the rest of my life. oh well, i guess i'll have to come up with a different method. One last thing... you people are GREAT!!!!! still don't know about you 'trouble makers' though.. nah you're just as great!!
