B They cut the cover song as they do not want to pay Siouxsie for it The additions were there so they used them Haven't spoken to anyone in PG's camp but I am guessing B This is a money grab for the company that owns the catalog and that PG will get little or nothing from this B B - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lisa Zwick " < karen . lisa . zwick @ gmail .com> To: "Karen Hester" < karen . hester @ gmail .com> Cc: mad-mission@ smoe .org Sent: Thursday, August 1, 2013 10:54:39 AM Subject: Re: MM: Silver Bell, different tracklist Whoa...that is not the usually Patty cover... I was impressed that they spent the money on Glyn Johns to finish the mixing. So, I am surprised that they wouldn't want to pay for the rights to a cover that probably wouldn't cost them that much. I'm guessing it was more of an artistic decision (not Patty's but someone's). Those of us who have Silver Bell will always consider our version the real one. This is just a remix. It will never quite be the same. But it sure is nice to have some legit version of it. And... Although there is little money, if any, for Patty in the sales of the CD, if there is airplay, she will get those royalties. And if she gets low on money, I'm sure Bobby can help her out. :-) Bruce (Patty's favorite name... or at least it was 20 years ago) This e-mail is intended solely for the person to whom it is addressed and may contain confidential and or privileged information. It's pretty convenient for them to release it now that she's been touring and getting exposure from her *current* label, so A&M doesn't even have to do any work to sell the album. - -Lisa Sent from my iPhone On Aug 1, 2013, at 11:49 AM, wrote: > 'Money grab"?
