Looking forward to that. I have been very slow this time around as I still do not have Patty,s latest CD ! Also, I would just like to mention (hope that,s OK?) that The Staves are coming your way (If you are a fan of The Wailin' Jennys, as I am, you will love The Staves) Best regards Steve - -----Original Message----- From: owner-mad-mission@smoe.org [mailto:owner-mad-mission@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Judith Eldredge Sent: 13 May 2013 22:31 To: mad-mission-digest@smoe.org Subject: MM: links 45 And while we're on that subject, Patty did an interview/performance on KCSN the other day. Here is most of it, if you're interested: http://infomas.subsonic.org/share/aKGOj Bruce I made this as a Mother's Day gift a couple years ago and rather than warning me or removing the audio I believe Patty's people just linked it to Amazon so you could buy the album. In the spirit of Mother's Day I thought I'd share it with fellow Patty fans.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6oZ1sgl880 ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 10 May 2013 14:22:54 +0000 From: Jessica Walker Subject: MM: American Kid Album and World Cafe I've been listening pretty much non-stop to the new album and I think it's great. I don't think the addition of Robert Plant was a bad one. I think their harmonies on Highway Song were beautiful and I enjoyed the sort of haunting "aaahhhs" in the background for Faithful Son, which has really nice lyrics and is becoming one of my favorites of the album. I think it's a beautiful tribute album to her father and quite a few of the songs reminded me of men in my own life who have had some trouble dealing with life after serving during times of war. Overall I'm really happy with the album and look forward to seeing her in concert...at least I plan to if she adds some dates a little closer to me. Thanks for the heads up on the World Cafi taping! ~Jessica - ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 9 May 2013 18:11:55 +0000 (UTC) From: jmphlbat@comcast.net Subject: MM: World Cafe Patty did a World Cafe taping today at WXPN in Philadelphia.
