And is there any sense when the rest of the schedule will be out? At the moment there are five shows in October . . . Many people will be disappointed as these initial (5) theatres are small (400-600). The smaller in size the more difficult it is to get tickets. And, they are all college towns so far. A person at the Sooner Theatre said that tickets would not be available (sold) until after September 1st, 2012. Typically Supporters of the Theatre as well as Promotional Persons get first dibs on the tickets. We can only hope. I have had this discussion with some of Sam Phillips people and it is pretty much about money. Unless you have a record company behind you willing to fund it, or a promoter in (fill in your favorite country's name here) willing to take the risk and guarantee money for a tour (a single date won't do), the artist will lose money. Notice I didn't say "make much money". I said "lose money". And then there is the question of just how much touring a musician can do. Life on the road is tough. Read Shawn's autobiography or Janis Ian's (highly recommended by the way). They are only human. And finally... Microsoft, who somehow has become the final word on spelling, spells it with a Z.
