Supposedly, more dates will be announced tomorrow (8/1) that I hope will expand the scope of the tour, at least in the U.S. If Patty continues her relationship with Robert Plant, that may also improve the chances of some U.K. dates (where I'm guessing Matthew hails from, based on his comment and the way that he spells "realises"). Although few can hold a candle to Patty when it comes to downbeat material, I am also hoping that someday she will find a suitable outlet for playful things like "Our Love Is A Dud" and "Get Ready Marie". No surprise that it is geographically limited. There is a world outside the US, didn't you know. Shawn Colvin realises this. .

Really started me thinking. I too have an experiences that I am ashamed of and wish I could apologize to those I am sure I hurt in grade school. I read the article and the journalist talks about a experience in school with a gift. I have to say that my son who is 18 now had a similiar situation as his. The teacher called me and asked if I could stop by the classroom to talk when I picked up my son. My son was about 7 or 8 second grade and it was a Christmas exchange with the class. She explained they did the gift exchange with pulling numbers. My son received his wrapped gift opened it and found a drawing of a ball nothing fancey that his classmate drew. I did not know the young boy or what his situation was. At this time I am holding my breath for what my son may have done or said thinking the worst because he is still a child of course. She said that he turned to the boy and said that this was the best gift ever and thanked him. She was so proud of him she wanted to share the story with me. I thanked her and left her room in tears. I could not be more prouder of my little boy. I tried to ask him later about it but he acted like it was no big deal. He did show me his picture and said he liked drawings. So even though I may have been a bit of a bully my son had turned out to caring individual even as a child. I wanted to share his story, I am glad my mistakes as a child were not repeated by my children.
