extent of that work.  It makes it easy to believe that her fountain will

run dry.  After the long spell that brought us Downtown Church, my fear is
that this may be the case.  Of course this is a selfish thought and Patty 
owes
me absolutely nothing.  If her musical pursuits diverge from my interests, I
will always be extremely grateful and cherish the music, images, and 
emotions
shes brought into my life.  I hope it wont be another 3 years until the 
next
release and I hope her muse is ever present and I can once again be swept 
away
with her poetic as well as musical voice.

I too hope that she still has some original work in her. She is an amazing 
songwriter and it would be so wonderful to have more from her. But I saw her 
the other night and she sure does enjoy singing the gospel stuff. So I hope 
she is still writing and planning on recording some originals, but she seems 
to be having a great time now. It isn't my favorite Patty. Her own stuff is 
what moves me so much.

 "Band of Joy" Tour  with Robert Plant - Patty Griffin and Others (Tulsa July
16th)

I am not sure what to expect, however am very much looking forward

to seeing her in person.
