At least the floor of the Crystal Ballroom is cushioned -- not so hard on the feet and legs -- as opposed to a standup venue such as the Showbox in Seattle. . I couldn't decide between Seattle and Portland so I purchased tickets for both. - -- Steve ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 2 Feb 2010 18:52:47 -0800 From: "Bob DSL" Subject: MM: Re: bummed The Show Box is standing only?! I've been there a several times and there was seating (folding chairs) but that was some time ago. I got kind of used to enjoying Patty at the acoustically balanced Aladdin with its comfortable seats. The frenetic atmosphere of a standing crowd kind of takes away from the experience in my opinion. I guess 'you don't know what you've got till it's gone'. Have fun at the show.
