Personal favourite is 1000 kisses. Everyone concerned appears to have had a very good day at the office! Mixing etc should not be a problem these days. Technology etc. However, looking back I could never understand why Otis was so quiet on "Tramp" (Sounds like he is in another room). Carla Thomas sounds OK. These comments re mixing make you listen again though don't they? I always play "Up to the mountain" loud. Then keep the volume up for "I don't ever give up" Regards Steve Mercer Relay Port Agency Limited Port View House, 375 A/B Hedon Road, HULL HU9 1RA Tel. 01482 795288 Fax. 01482 795289 www.relayportagency.co.uk - -----Original Message----- From: owner-mad-mission@smoe.org [mailto:owner-mad-mission@smoe.org] On Behalf Of rockerpgh _ Sent: 12 September 2009 05:15 To: ericlphelps@yahoo.com; mad-mission@smoe.org Subject: RE: MM: Patty's Album Mixes Although the mixes could perhaps stand some improvement, I don't generally find the singing to be too loud in relation to the instruments. However, I do find that is the case with Ryan Adams' "Heartbreaker." I simply cannot find the right volume for that album. "Living With Ghosts" does have the incredible singing that has its lound moments, but that could perhaps be attributed to the recording environment. (The excellent review by Allmusic.com alludes to this.) Regardless, LWG is an incredible CD. > Date: Fri, 11 Sep 2009 07:04:23 -0700 > From: ericlphelps@yahoo.com > Subject: MM: Patty's Album Mixes > To: mad-mission@smoe.org > > I'm wonder if others agree/disagree/ think it's an artistic choice: > > I think that the mixes on Patty's albums are somewhat sub-par... Hello there. I have been receiving many emails, regarding becoming a member. Are you having difficulties on your end, or are they addressing incorrectly? You can find it on itunes. It is from an album compiled in tribute to Kris Kristofferson. Give it a listen, you won't be disappointed.
