The guitar is often buried, or too soft in relation to her voice. This is particularly true on last album (Children Running Through), and on others as well (Impossible Dream, Living Wity Ghosts). Best mixes are "Flaming Red" and "A Kiss In Time." The LIVE performance sounds great...! I mean, who among us hasn't had the experience of starting a Patty song only to have to turn it down when she starts singing b/c we get blasted out of our seats? What's up with this? Hmmm... If you checked the setlist for that night there are some good songs missing because the sound was poor/out of tune etc I am not an audiophile but a few of those album you mentioned were up for Grammy's so there must have been something there - -----Original Message----- From: owner-mad-mission@smoe.org [mailto:owner-mad-mission@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Eric Phelps Sent: Friday, September 11, 2009 10:04 AM To: mad-mission@smoe.org Subject: MM: Patty's Album Mixes I'm wonder if others agree/disagree/ think it's an artistic choice: I think that the mixes on Patty's albums are somewhat sub-par...
