Hell why don't you talk about Malcoln Burn playing with Patty in NY this weekend Remember him. He made the electric LWG An electric LWG???!!! Produced by Malcolm Burn????!!!! Now that's worth de-lurking for! ;-) This is news to me. I can't believe I never knew this existed. Has anyone ever heard this? Has it ever been "leaked" (a la Silver Bell)? Is it in circulation on the underground circuit? I feel faint just contemplating such an album. I love LWG, and would think a Burn-produced recording of those songs would have to worth hearing. If anyone has an info about this, I'm all ears and then some. Barring that, I'd also be interested in hearing about the recent NYC show, which I also did not know about. (I am, apparently, the world's worst PG fan.) Thanks in advance to anyone who knows anything about what is, to me at any rate, a fairly surprising lost PG album. B Back in 1996-97 when Patty signed her record contract they put her into the studio to redo her demos of LWG. Malcolm Burns was the producer they picked. The album that came out was somewhat different and a lot more electric than the record company was looking for so they scrapped the album. They went back and forth with Patty and in the end released her demo of LWG. B The electric version is one of the more sought after recording for PG fans. With less than 5 copies ever talked about. B Lisa, Patty played this weekend in NYC at the Beacon and also in Kingston, NY as part of the 3 girls and their buddy tour. B Her new gospel album was scheduled to be released in the early summer but now with Buddy Miller ill it may be delayed ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 23 Feb 2009 13:43:30 EST From: DLWildflower@aol.com Subject: Re: MM: (tapping mic): "Testing 1-2...is this thing on?"
