Mimi, I have that very thing of which you talk about. I'm not home right now, but I could copy it and send it your way once I get there. As I'm not tied to a boring job where I need to be somewhere 9-5, I don't know how long I'll be away from my place of sleeping and paying of rent. But when I get there I'll copy it for ya. Oh and your other question.... While I'm all for copying and distributing and everything that will help destroy the whiny corrupt despicable recording industry, I would say you probably should not use a LFML song for DJing. You could get the radio station in trouble. They probably have ASCAP or bmI or whatevs broadcasting license they have, but the tricky trick is that those broadcasting rights are for specific releases recorded, and not bootlegs. Because LfML has never been released nor officially authorized by even PG, you are on very shaky grounds there. I empathize with you like no other and usually the recording industry is so effing retarded I would take your side in a second. But in this case here is what I see: person A taking a recording from a compilation not authorized by the artist to broadcast publicly. Now, recording industry peeps will have their henchmen call coffee shops playing anything and threaten them for broadcasting while not having an ASCAP license which I think is effing ridiculous, and instances like this contaminate the whole reason for copyright laws in the first place. But when you are actually broadcasting broadcasting over the airwaves that's something different. So says I. But good luck with what you decide. And I'll let you know whenever I do get back to my pad, and copy/send you that disc if no one has responded yet. hugs!! peace love and vegetable rights. I've warn them? out to the point this one won't play anymore, and plus I think my discs 3 & 4 sprouted legs and walked away. Is there still a way for an old veteran Mad Misher to score replacements? Jen Caputo... Ducksoup Mike... are you hunnies still around?? I've been in lurker mode for years, but I'm still here. > > > Also, does anyone know the current standing policies from Patty and her management on permissions for RADIO PLAY of songs from LFML? Is she still with Kathi Whitley?? I've got me a little DJ thing going on now in Austin on KOOP 91.7 FM, the community co-operative station, and I would like to extend my longtime Mishness to Austin radio, and I would love to spin some of the best selections from you-know-where (and you know why)...? Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this yet? I'm sure this must've come up sooner and before now... > > > > Any help or insight would be much appreciated! > > > > Thanks! > > ~Mimi in Austin > > ________________________________________________________________________ > More new features than ever. Anyone here going on the Cayamo cruise figured out where to stay the nights before the cruise leaves? I do have a res at the Radisson but am hating the charges of $426 for 2 nights. I have been haunting Hotel.com and Book-it.com to no avail. Every affordable hotel has lousy reviews so I am staying at the Radisson I guess. I mean reviews like, they slept on the floor because the bed was so bad, and it was moldy and the air conditioning was out and they had a hundred bedbug bites, etc. (There must be a song there!:) ) I just can't do that. The Radisson looks beautiful but I have this idea that I will stay somewhere on the beach, not in the city part of Miami. Palm trees, sand and waves etc.?I just want to walk from my little hotel to the beach and hang out Sat eve and Sunday all day and Mon am. That is because I live in the Bay area and I am lucky if I can put my big toe in the cold water at the beaches around here. I have also been trying to do a Timeshare exchange, also to no avail so far. What I have found out tho, is that the Cayamo?rates at the Radisson are way cheap compared to most other nice places, if that is any consolation.? ?So, have any of you had any better luck? Dana in Antioch, see you soon! ________________________________________________________________________ More new features than ever.
