Missy Higgins does a very true to the original cover of Moses. It's an excellent live performance but would have liked to hear another take on the song. Still, I can't complain... On another note: Have others heard Melody Gardot's CD, Worrisome Heart? I am really enjoying this CD. I'd say her voice/sound falls somewhere between Norah Jones and Eva Cassidy. I was even more impressed by this young singer/songwriter after reading about the compelling story of her path into making music. Anyway, my 2 cents... Doug Try Melissa Ferrick's version of Moses at: http://www.ladyslipper.org/rel/v2_viewupc.php?storenr=53&upc=71151726482 She also has a great sounding live version floating around in cyberspace (my preference). That song is totally overshadowed though by Damian Rice's cover of Prince's "When Doves Cry". It is absolutely amazing. For more info, do a search for "Like a Version". I know I may sometimes sound like an ad for XM radio, but both Patty and Melody Gardot get heavy airplay on XM's The Loft. She does have a voice. I totally agree on the "somewhere between Norah Jones and Eva Cassidy". Bruce Just picked up this CD at *$'s today. Missy Higgins does a very true to the original cover of Moses.
