They sang it at a radio station in studio recording. I think the station was in the Detroit area. I saw him open for her about 8 or 9 years ago and I love the album I bought that day. I think he now focuses on writing and producing and he is kind of big time in the industry. His website has a few examples which are as diverse and Jessica Simpson and Art Garfunkle. http://www.billymann.com/ Hmmm, I wonder if Billy Mann has anything to do with Jessica Simpson recording Patty?? Probably not, I suppose. :) Scott Antall http://www.scottantall.com/ scott@scottantall.com Phone: 440/623-3738 Fax: 440/236-3346 - ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Feb 2007 22:49:57 -0700 From: Debra McCaw Subject: [none] Hi Everyone, I bought a broken ipod on ebay that had tons and tons of Patty music on it. My husband is an expert ipod fixer, so now I am happily enjoying the new tunes. I was already a huge Patty fan, but a lot of this music I had never heard before. I'm curious if anyone knows who sings with Patty on "Tracks of My Tears". I'll be at the Boulder Theater concert March 22nd in the second row. Woohoo! I caught this show at the Birchmere, and Billy and Patty teamed up for this. I love it when she throws some vintage Motown into the mix. At one show I saw, at the 9:30 Club, she did a great version of "Tears Of A Clown". Is this a theme? I cannot quit playing it. I love the line "they say no one likes a big mouth but I got one anyway"....I guess since some would say that I am a big mouth that this is why the line lingers in my brain. But the whole song has such a neat sound and awesome lyrics. I hope I get to hear it live someday. Still looking forward to new concert dates...maybe in Cincy or NKY???? Fingers crossed! And I still have PTSD from the Lizard Lounge fiasco. This morning, my browser would not let me in to buy Boston pre-sale tickets. About 9 minutes past 9am, I freaked and emailed Planetary Groove. To my delight, someone emailed back and asked for my telephone number and called me to help troubleshoot. We couldn't get it to work so he asked me to paypal the ticket money which I didb&but I spelled bgrooveb wrong! I then had to cancel the first pmt and resent it. So I have no idea what tickets I will get because of these technical delays. I am hoping he will time stamp my initial contact time. Regardless, I have some type of seat for me and a lucky friend. When we connected he said 30 people were in front of me. That's where it was 9 minutes into the pre-sale. I would be very happy and grateful for a bird's eye view. He mentioned that Planetarygroove had every other row and said TicketMaster will have some prime seats when they open sales. I didn't want to gamble so I secured what I could. I'll be a little bummed if I missed out on prime seats because I spelled "groove" wrong on Paypal but I was so nervous. In the morning he was willing to timestamp my order....but the misspelling may have changed that. My fingers are crossed but I am due some karma from the Lizard Lounge ticket experience!Wish me luck. I was wondering if any Patty fans....went to the Lizard Lounge show without tickets and got in? I know they were not selling at the door. That small venue sold fast as the speed as light. Now my computer is printing in wing ding font....as I try to sign my name and it won't change fonts. I am not entirely computer iliterate . I'm just having a weird computer day and it's been a comedy of errors. So "Ally" is wing dings for Ally. Itbs so nice us Patty fans have a place to commiserate and vent as we strive to see her shows. This will be my first live Patty experience. What is up with this computer?
