I even thought of writing about it in this journal and venting about all the wankers that make the music business such a drag sometimes. But I've decided, instead, to tell you about things that I think do NOT suck. In no particular order, these are all things you should check out, in my humble opinion: - -The new Patty Griffin CD called "Children Running Through" - -Thornley's "Come Again" CD (Have I mentioned this before? It's 2 or 3 years old. This guy Ian Thornley is SUCH a badass.) - -"My World" by Sick Puppies. Actually, get the whole EP. - -"My Generation" by Starfield. Other good stuff on the album, but this one is amazing. - -A band from the UK called Porcupine Tree.' ~ Tan ~ - ----- Original Message ---- From: Jim Murphy To: mad-mission@smoe.org Sent: Friday, 16 February, 2007 12:25:09 AM Subject: MM: Every Little Bit After about of year of working on fix it, Nick Small has finally released the full version of the "Every Little Bit" video from 1996 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVM1cfCNWV8 Murph [demime 0.97c-p1 removed an attachment of type application/ms-tnef which had a name of winmail.dat] Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger.yahoo.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 17 Feb 2007 08:29:47 -0500 From: Charl Kroeger Subject: MM: A request about reply message contents... Hi everyone... I love reading about all your concert experiences and getting the latest in news, etc., but I just wanted to send out a friendly reminder that if you reply to these emails (and thus send your message for inclusion in the next email) please, please, please delete the parts of the email that are not applicable directly to the topic you are responding to, or if you are starting with a new topic, delete everything out of the reply message before writing your message... It becomes a mission combing through reams of info to find the 3 lines of new text/info that someone has posted. Thanks again for sharing all your experiences... Looking forward to when Patty has done her NYC gig and I can share my thoughts there too... All, Sorry for such a random interjection, here's my deal: Years ago, I believe through this mailing list I acquired a copy of SB, but there are slight glitches, especially on the track "Little God". Does anyone have a clean copy available for B+P or electronic transfer? Please e-mail me back if you can help me out! This is one the best Patty songs I've heard and it easily made it to my top 5 Patty songs of all-time. How do you all feel about it? The other song "Up and Down" is quite good too, so I am not exactly sure why they didn't make the cut for the standard version of Children Running Through. Does anyone have any insight? Also, what do all think about that artwork on the album? I didn't know that Patty could draw?
