I don't mind Kelly Clarkson at all. Hey, she played the game and won. It's not that I have a problem with everyone covering Patty Griffin. ha ha ha. I think American Idol is much cooler than say some sleezeball in some office handpicking who will be singing the next pop hit (I have a story about that but I won't get into it). It's more of a popularity contest, but so the hell what? Those kids can really get the job done, the teeny boppers like 'em and vote for 'em, they release albums that sell = everyone is happy. While I think there are certain things Paris Hilton is good at, singing isn't one of them. I try to avoid Hilton chain hotels entirely because I can't stand to think that it's more money for her. Intercontinental isn't owned by Hilton is it? God I hope not. I love staying in those. If Paris Hilton is changing the title of a Patty Griffin song to fit her own image, then that's just absolutely appalling. I will definitely drop my trousers and pee on her. Anyone want to put money on that? I always like a good quip from the EG himself. However, sad to say I'm not related. He knows way more great venues and stuff than I. I'm more into dirty punk, while he's more into the whole music scene. We both like good music though, and he's recommended a few that I've liked a lot. Expanded my horizons.
