Those of you that know Mary, know that Patty did co-vocals on two tracks on her remarkable "Mercy Now" album. Let's hope the heatwave here in NYC does not knock out power. Stay cool out there peeps.... Lotsa water, OK? And hope to see you at the park. Check local listings or Mary's website to see if it's all still on, and hope to see you there! The list proves that theory- in my opinion it's pretty random. The only songwriter's placement that makes sense to me is Bob Dylan as #1. Other than that...random! But good job to Patti for making #19! In a message dated 8/1/2006 10:33:23 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time, o.hugues@wanadoo.fr writes: I thought we had posted the list here. Here it is. But there's a thing with popularity that tends to be confused with greatness. It's even already confused in the word "great" itself. So there's a consensus about that. It can seem logical to assume that artists loved by a lot of people have something greater than others. But it's not necessarily true. - ----- Original Message ----- From: To: <>; Sent: Thursday, August 03, 2006 6:23 AM Subject: Re: MM: Re: lucinda williams > As someone said earlier on this post, art is subjective.
