I went to the Makor show last night and he was dynamic and charismatic, and his opener Antje was excellent. It was a really great crowd of mature, enthusiastic folk music people. I spoke to him briefly and mentioned I was a Patty fan. He was very nice, and came down and serenaded the audience and they all sang with him. Mucho fun. I haven't seen Patty in a long time, but I remember the first time I ever saw her was at the now-defunct FEZ in New York City, with Troy as her opener. She blew me away. A friend had dragged me to that show, and it was well worth it. The Ellis show had the same kind of intimacy and vibe as that Patty show at the Fez way back when. I think she played there twice that I remember and I went to both shows. That's all. I'm not surprised that celebs dig Patty's music (re last post). She's a musician's musician, and I'm sure her appeal is across the board. I could see actors definitely appreciating her vibe. That's all folks.
