Howdy--- Emma wrote: hi everyone... just wanted to fill you in on this girl. just checked out her website and shes got some killer songs and an amazing voice. she kinda reminds me of patty, in the sense that there is a lot of passion and emotion in her voice (which im a sucker for) i guess shes worked with Gillian Welch too. shes featured in a couple songs... anyways, check her out on www.heatherwaters.com. shes on myspace also.... take care all and happy holidays, Emma I can vouch for Heather. For quite some time, Heather lived and performed in Boston, and I was lucky enough to get to know her and see her perform. She is an absolute powerhouse. She has worked with Gillian, and Emmylou, and was mentored a bit by Delbert McClinton. She's a terrific interpreter, and has also become a fine songwriter. She does tend more to the country side of Americana, just so you know. But what a voice! My favorite quote about her is from Taj Mahal: "Now that's some fucking great singing!" Heather moved from Boston to Nashville, which really didn't work for her. Now she's in L.A. If you get a chance to see her, do it! And feel free to tell her I said hi.
