I was lucky enough to see patty twice this last summer on both coasts. I saw her on the left coast, at the Zoo in Seattle, Washington. my sister lives in seattle and i visit her once or twice a year and I thought, "wouldn't it be nice to bring my sister to a patty concert. I got wind of the concert and timed my visit to seattle accordingly. it was an outdoor event, reasonably priced, a beautiful day. My sister had never heard Patty before. the usual, confusion of Patty Larkin, Nancy Griffith, and Patty Grffin, who? Then, I decided to fly to the right coast and catch her at the Boston Folk Festival. I just moved to california from boston, so I was psyched to see patty again back on home turf. anyway....the real reason i wanted to post to the list is to protest the mentioning over and over of large multi-national bookshop chains that squeeze out small local businesses. It's like an effing commercial for B-rder's every time and i don't want to pay for it. i don't mind if people want to spend their money at the predatory retailers but please let's not advertise the company name here over and over. thank you ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Nov 2005 20:52:31 -0800 (PST) From: Ronni Heggen Subject: MM: NPC: Sony Since I first heard about the Sony deal here, I'm wondering if they have since changed their evil ways???? I bought the new Neil Diamond CD for my mom at a super large CD store and they didn't know what the heck I was talking about. I am wondering if they have re-issued the CD's. I tried to get it on Amazon awhile back but they had none and I heard that they recalled all the CD's with rootkit attached. I don't really know what it is but I know I don't want to corrupt my mom's computer. Anyone know anything?? Thanks--Ronni - --------------------------------- Yahoo!
