Enjoyed it also. I give it a 2.5 stars out of 4, which means above average (enjoyable). Had the ingredients for more stars, but for some reason did not resonate until the second half. Who says Orlando Bloom was bad? He wasn't great, perhaps, but was pretty good. So Patty played the character named Sharon, eh? Long Ride Home is on the soundtrack, but I did not hear it in the movie. Did you? Did Patty any tunes that played during the movie featuring Patty covering? ----- Original Message ----- From: PghPasta@aol.com To: iceburrrg@hotmail.com ; mad-mission@smoe.org Sent: Saturday, October 15, 2005 5:52 AM Subject: MM: Elizabethtown Guess what? I enjoyed Elizabethtown! It was sweet and funny and poignant. The way Patty said "Mitch wrote letters...he never sent e-mails" (or something like that) was fun to watch, as was Susan Sarandon's dance. Go see the movie and decide for yourself. Having read a few less than stellar reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. They cut the movie after it showed at Sundance, or somewhere like that, and what was released in theaters is the cut version. I'm assuming Patty's song is on the other one. I did a trailer for it (can't remember if it was on tv or if it was before another movie) and they showed LRH playing in the car while he was driving/crying with his arm up. ??? But instead, in the movie, it was the Elton John song. I'm surprised Patty's song wasn't fit into our version though ... fits the plot perfectly. Oh, and if you wait until the very end credits, Patty sings "Moon River" :) Peace, Sarah ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You're gonna dance to jah music, dance, We're gonna dance to jah music, dance, Forget your troubles and dance, Forget your sorrows and dance, Forget your sickness and dance, Forget your weakness and dance. . ." -- Bob Marley ----- Original Message ----- From: rockerpgh _ To: iceburrrg@hotmail.com ; mad-mission@smoe.org ; PghPasta@aol.com Sent: Monday, November 14, 2005 12:15 AM Subject: MM: Re: Elizabethtown Finally saw it.
