The video montage from the Kiss in Time DVD interview with The Long Ride, I 
always thought, would make a wonderful video, but I'll have to venture up to 
CMT for the crumbs.  Also, I read a bit of the Cameron Crowe interview in 
Paste Magazine (skimmed it quickly for a Patty Mention) and, apparently, she 
was a muse for him in making Elizabethtown.

Sorry for the lack of details here. My ex is, well... nevermind.
Anyway...

Thursday, Melissa Etheridge taped a show for Lifetime I believe. Part
way through the taping she talked about when she was doing chemo she
would always listen to this one song. Then she asked the person who
wrote the song to come up and sing it. Yep, it was Patty. Sorry, I
couldn't pull the song out of my ex.

and there's music from an artist by the name of Nancy Wilson.  There's about
half a dozen songs on site and I've tried to find more information about her
and all I get is Nancy Wilson, the Jazz singer.  I've tried google and itunes
and came up empty.  Does anyone have any information (website) about this
artist?

It's the film's writers (Cameron Crowe) wife, Nancy Wilson of the late 
1970s/early 1980s group Heart.

Crowe is the dude that directed Almost Famous a few years back.

FYI, Heart is still alive and kicking. 
(www.heart-music.com)  Released Jupiters Darling and
did a US/UK tour last year. Just taped a Soundstage
special that has aired on PBS.

They did not tour this year because Nancy was busy
with the soundtrack for Etown.

Just guessing, but I assume this is Nancy Wilson from Heart, who is married
to Cameron Crowe.

  I recall searching for Heart once , & it's
such an encompassing term that most of
what you get is irrelevant. I just ran a
search for " heart ann & nancy wilson " &
got a very good return of relevant sites.
Nancy has done very little work w/o Ann.
