I think we can say it's a perfect record in the sense that there's no bad track on it but "the" perfect record is a bit too exclusive, as I know a lot of them by many artists Impossible Dream is a GREAT record (yes, I insist on a sense of greatness, something high, sublime, almost religious) and one of the best of 2004 with "A Boot & A Shoe" by Sam Phillips and "Underdog Victorious" by Jill Sobule (which are other kinds of music - but really "perfect", I tell you!) I'm very happy that there are other people out there who feel the same. I've given ID to many of my closest friends and sadly it has never had an impact on any of them. It does make me wonder how I can hear such a great cd and to others it is nothing special. Thank you for the reinforcement. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 14 May 2005 08:29:45 EDT From: Kaycee973@aol.com Subject: Re: MM: Re: ID--The perfect record? I can never figure that out. With other lists I'm on when you hit reply, the address of the group comes up. Anyway....I feel about 1000 Kisses the way people seem to feel about Impossible Dream. I think Kisses is such a total, cohesive package...the instrumentation is gorgeous and every song is perfect. Impossible Dream is my least favorite of all Patty's albums. There are only a couple of songs that grab me. I absolutely adore the live album, LWG and Flaming Red, so ID was a bit of a disappointment for me...it's still a great album in my opinion...just not quite as stunning as the others.
