A few of us from pattynet.net are planning to meet up somewhere. It would help if one of us was actually from London though, because we don't yet have any good suggestions. Anyway, got my tix for tomorrow in Nashville - cannot wait, one more question: anybody know her set list she's using for this tour? Hi, I haven't really posted before (well, once), but I was listening to Impossible Dream yesterday and realized something about the record in general. It's perfect. It's strange, because I've always described Joni Mitchell's "Blue" to my friends as the most perfect record ever made, and have never found one that I thought was on it's same plane of perfection. Until Impossible Dream. It's a little frightening, actually, how good the record is--I might even (and though not all of you may be Joni fans, I have been for a long time so this takes some guts to say...or write...out loud) put it slightly above "Blue". Different records in a way, but perhaps more similar than you'd think upon an initial comparison. Anyways, just wondering if anyone might agree with this idea. Glad you're all having fun at the shows. I couldn't see her this time and it makes me real sad. Roger - --------------------------------- Yahoo! Mail Stay connected, organized, and protected. But my puter went bonkers one morning and it was in the shop for a few days :(. Had to get it reformatted...and I get really attached to things...I'm a packrat...so I still saved all 33,000 of my emails! (Unfortunately, I just noticed my address book wasn't saved...sigh.). Ok, anyway...back to the point. Don, if I go to Hell, it better be for more than a Patty concert ;) Either way, it was more than worth it :) Karla, thanks for the massages...although you two make me feel really old, me needing massages at the concert and you two going dancing after while I go to bed! I haven't gotten the pics developed yet, but when I do (for some odd reason I procrastinate with these kinds of things), I'll let you know how they came out, maybe post some eventually. - -Lisa - ----- Original Message ----- From: "K MZF ohyeah" To: Sent: Wednesday, May 11, 2005 3:22 AM Subject: RE: MM: Re: Webster Hall - NYC >I too would like to thank Don for his fabulous reviews, doubly so now > that I know how long it takes to write them! It's late and I'll give this more thought (and listen) tomorrow. Just have to say.........Blue is (still) one of my most beloved albums. So nice to know someone else feels the same, But you're right Roger, both albums have that kind of 'underneath the skin' feel to them. I believe that I'll still be listening to Impossible Dream in 34 years too (wow, is Blue THAT old? er, am I that old?? wow). - -robin - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger Thornton" To: Sent: Friday, May 13, 2005 7:44 PM Subject: MM: ID--The perfect record? > Hi, > > I haven't really posted before (well, once), but I was listening to Impossible Dream yesterday and realized something about the record in general.
