You guys are the best fans in the world. And while we wont have a grand total for a few more days we are happy to announce that this years fund drive collected more than $5,500.00 for the VVAF. This will bring our three (3) year total to over $14,200.00. And we are still negotiating on another guitar, so it may go higher. We hope to make a presentation of our Birthday card to Patty this year at the show in Madison, WI with Holly doing the honors. We will let you know soon. Again thanks to everyone who made this years drive a great success. Now for the Big announcement. On April 27, 2005 in New York City, the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation (VVAF) will be holding a reception to mark, the organizations 25th Anniversary. The guest speaker that night will be Sen. John Kerry. Just last week we were notified that Patty along with the Mad-Mission email group and Time Does the Talking will be the honored guests at the reception because of our fund raising efforts for the Campaign for a Landmine Free World We have graciously accepted the invitation to come to the New York to receive this great honor. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you Jen Caputo, Holly Boom, Jim Murphy, Sarah Martin ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 17 Mar 2005 13:21:08 EST From: TimSharp63@aol.com Subject: MM: Patty's Birthday To those of you procrastinators out there (like myself) you can still donate and in Patty's name. I did it today and there is a space that asks how you heard of the Landmine Free World and Patty's Birthday Drive is an clickable option. Let's hope this years efforts go through the roof!!!
