Hey folks - I just received a copy of the KGSR CD and it was burned Track-At-Once (TAO), meaning there are 2 second gaps between songs! According to standard trading guidelines, TAO copies should not be circulating! (See http://www.etree.org/faq_cdr.html for guidelines - scroll down to "CDr Burning"). If you are burning copies to circulate - please make sure you are burning them Disc-At-Once (DAO). If you are sending on a copy that you received from someone else, please check and make sure it isn't TAO (the counter on your CD player will show -2 before moving on to the next track). If you have a TAO copy, keep it or trash it, but don't copy it or send it on - your branch of the vine should now be dead. This goes for any show you receive from anyone. I have directly notified the person I received my copy from. Thanks for getting this great show (and other great shows) out there! Let's all help keep the quality of these recordings intact! The burning software should have a check box indicating that those two-second pauses between tracks can be eliminated during the burning process. As an example, on my software there's a box you can check saying "No pause between tracks." I actually tried it the other day when an MM-er sent me a TAO copy of the WXRT radio set. Re-burning the TAO disc to DAO worked--all the pauses were eliminated. I would also like to echo Jason's request: when sending out discs of a live show, PLEASE check and be sure it's DAO!
