Also, I don't think anyone posted this either - last week's Entertainment Weekly listed Patty's "Silver Bell" as a "Buried Treasure" and said some very nice things about "Truth #2" and "Little God" specifically, in addition to the general sadness of not having this great artist's CD not released. It was cool to see a piece like this in EW. - -Sandi - -----Original Message----- From: owner-mad-mission@smoe.org [mailto:owner-mad-mission@smoe.org]On Behalf Of Jim Murphy Sent: Tuesday, December 07, 2004 10:17 PM To: mad-mission@smoe.org Subject: MM: Grammy's Can't figure out why no one has posted it here buy once again Patty has received a Grammy nomination today for "Impossible Dream" Category 67 Best Contemporary Folk Album (Vocal or Instrumental.) * Educated Guess Ani DiFranco [Righteous Babe Records] * The Revolution Starts...Now Steve Earle [Artemis Records/E-Squared] * Land Of Milk And Honey Eliza Gilkyson [Red House Records] * Impossible Dream Patty Griffin [ATO Records] * The Unbroken Circle - The Musical Heritage Of The Carter Family Various Artists John Carter Cash, producer [Dualtone Music Group] You can read about all the Grammy's at http://www.grammy.com/awards/grammy/47noms.aspx Happy Holiday's Murph ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V8 #261 *********************************
