Had a little start tonight when I saw Patty's name during the credits for the USA pilot movie , " The 4400 ". Glad I have DVR with my DISH. Seems that it was the name of one of the characters in the movie , along with hubby Kenneth Griffin. Am I delusional , or is it normal for the actor's name to be in the second column , where Patty's was , & the character's name to be in the first column ? I saw her last month at her free show in Chicago...what a blast!! She is amazing and what a crowd pleaser. She has amazing stage presence in a way like no other. I've seen her a few times too and would see her again anytime. She's actually really funny. Not everyone at the shows I was at really got her humor, but my friend and I thought she was a riot. We thought she belonged on saturday night live. She's also just a really nice person. She's one of those people that even though you're complementing her on her performance and getting her to sign a CD, she's telling you to have a safe drive home. One of the times I saw her, she was so sick that she could barely talk...but her voice was still amazing when she was singing. jmphlbat@comcast.net wrote: Have seen her 3 times and will again this weekend. New music is great, and so important. Have you listened to Jolie Holland? She used to be in the Be Good Tanyas, and she's wonderful. I like Iron and Wine, too. I also like Toni Price and Sue Foley, both from Texas, who play great blues, rock and jazz. So I guess, in my humble opinion, they are complete opposites. Patty Griffin is an exquisite songwriter who combines a soulful creativity with a willingness and to craft beautiful deeply honest songs. Wilco is like one of those 800 page books that lands on the bestseller list because lots of people buy it but no one reads it.
