Car is almost packed: tents, sleeping bags, my down pillow, hot clothes, cold clothes, rain clothes, Sedona colored concert blanket that goes to all my outdoor concerts with me, sun tan lotion, sunglasses, hat, snacks, water bottles, Mike's Hard Lemonade, book to read, tickets, Tibetan prayer flags, ( I am hoping to avoid all rotten bad news till I come home- just send out vibes to those Yosemite stars for it to end - not likely soon I am afraid), flashlights, digital camera, map, do I need anything else? Green stuff, money for peach cobbler - I love that stuff! The lady at that stand knew me by the end of the festival last year as it was lunch every day and I always tell her how wonderful it is, reminds me of my grandmother. Oh ya, Patty concert Cds:) and thanks to those of you who sent me recent concerts. They will be the music of the day for the 4 hr drive. I listened to Whittaker Center today. She was so rolling on that When It Don't Come Easy. It just sweeps you up. When I come back home on Monday and back to my real life, I know I have promises to keep for a few of you and weeding to share in. I barely know any of the performers this time- I have only seen one, Keb Mo, before- so maybe I will come home with some new fave singers. I am not much on bluegrass so it will be a mind expanding experience as I am guilty of sticking mostly to what I know musically. I'll probably be sunburned, filthy, tired, shot and worn out from sleeping on the ground and staying up half the night if I can drag my butt around to camps where they are jamming till the wee hrs, and will have to go back to work on Tues to rest up. I wish my concert buddies were coming. I guess I will have to find some Strawberry strangers to talk to. Have a great holiday weekend all. I hope some on this list make it to the KFOG concert in Berkeley Sun. Hopefully it will be broadcast and someone will record it and pass it aroun! d and I' ll still get to hear it eventually. SHe is a very gifted singer/songwriter who will be at Strawberry. She is also on Jay Leno tonight (wed). She has done a few gigs with Patty before too. She is excellent and she is the sister to Shelby Lynne. I have responded to all those that made the cut. However, most folks said they would re-offer to the list so there should be many opportunities to get this show soon. I've got all the non-digesters for the offer, and at least three of them will redistribute, so if you missed out on this one, there'll be another one soon. The digest part of the offer is still open.
