The first thing I saw on the front page of their website was: "Dumping of sewage second-largest ever". Well, that settled it. Just as I suspected. At least the MilwaukeeJournalSentinel has the integrity to criticize their own critics. So, in honor of that writer's successful attempt at getting my attention, I hereby offer the Top 10 Reasons Why KEVIN NOBODY BOZOSKI is a Douchebag. Top 10 Reasons Why KEVIN NOBODY BOZOSKI is a Douchebag: 10. Forgets to write about music, instead writes about who's going potty and when. 9. Breaks out in a cold sweat when he realizes that the two affectionate women he saw were actually my sisters who had not seen each other for 10 years. 8. Thinks acoustic guitars are Socialist objects. 7. Watches and believes foxUnNews. 6. Can't get it up unless the audience screams out "Freebird" between songs. 5. Can't get it up unless male guitarists strike phallocentric poses. 4. When buying tickets he always confuses Patty Griffin with Georgie Carlin and therefore always misses out on all "the (good) jokes". 3. Can't tell kites from "white bird-like things", but once went on a trip with his mommy on a big silvery tubie flying thingy. 2. Too stupid to know that Patty Griffin is always "in excellent voice". And the number 1 reason KEVIN NOBODY BOZOSKI is a Douchebag: 1. Can't tell his ass from his "parody or pastiche". That was too easy. I found Steve's incredible response to this review which had me cracking up and now I found the review he was talking about. Geez. I never even heard of phallo-centric. Did I spell that right? What the heck does that mean? Isn't it usually central? LOL! How did I ever live this long without that word up front in my vocabulary? And did Patty really sing Different Drum???????? Are you sure? Blown away by that! Well, I wasn't there, but I did make it to 4 of the concerts in this series- NYC x2, Boston and Alexandria, and each show was just great, Patty WAS in great voice- oozed confidence, she knows we love her, the audiences were so attentive you could hear a pin drop- she had them in the palm of her hand. That's 'cause we are Patty's audience, not some other wild loudmouth group. We don't want to miss anything. I hope she doesn't read these stupid reviews so she can just do her thing, perfectly the way she does. She did that Take it With Me at the Birchmere and it was breathtaking. I have seen Patty develop as a performer from singing for a 30 person audience at the Eli Whitney Barn in 97 to selling out these venues and she has gained loads of confidence and really seems to enjoy herself up there. She is always absolutely beautiful too. Well, so much for me chiming in. The point is, this WAS a perfect Patty performance. Even the reviewer seemed to start out thinking so before he lost he lost himself in what can only be described as an EXTREMELY polluted stream of conciousness. This is a man who tried to sound very intelligent, and instead gave anyone reading the most inconsistent, unclear and pointless review I've ever read. I started this thing by posting it and saying it seemed ok as everyone was entitled to an opinion and he did praise parts of the show. But the more that's brought up, I simply can't fathom that this person was at the same venue that night. Patty was very funny, very intelligible, moving, energetic, charming and inspiring. We may be biased as Patty fans, but there wasn't a disappointed fan in the venue...giving the show a review like this is completely inexcusable. Z __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
