Tickets are $27.50 +TB fees and on sale to the general public this Sunday 5/16. I already have tickets & a road trip planned for Mary Chapin Carpenter concerts in So. Cal on June 18th or I'd be seeing you all in SF for this show. http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/1C0038AB99BA4835 Happy to say I learned of a long time, RAVING PG fan at work when she saw my ID cd on my desk, and she exclaimed, "Oh my GOD, I LOVE Patty Griffin!!" Always fun to discover great things about people you don't really know that well. In fact, she called me on the road to Oregon today to let me know the Filmore tickets were about to go on sale. We must have received the same Ticketmaster e-mail :-) Peace, Heidi Sonoma County ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 May 2004 09:25:10 -0400 From: "Becca Jarry" Subject: MM: Chicago show On a long shot, does anyone have one extra ticket for the Vic show? A friend of mine lives in the Windy city and just didn't get her act together in time and now the show is sold out. Please let me know if you do. Thanks. "Probably the second I hit air, I felt a longing to fit in." "I was a C-section baby, I don't know, though, that it's part of an artist's generic makeup to feel on the outside looking in. No single section of the population owns the experience of loneliness entirely. Perspective is always shifting all the time for everyone. You get up in the morning and the coffee is fresh and the sun is shining. The next morning you step in dog piss first thing and it's raining. Being human is disturbing from the get-go for everyone. We try to tame the experience, tone it down, make up realities about this and that, give ourselves plenty of distractions, but ultimately, if we are being honest, it all comes back to not knowing about nothin' for all of us. That's pretty lonely and scary. Art is just a means of expressing that. And anyone can make art." The article then shows the themes of longing to fit in and finding home from each of the songs from "Impossible Dream" "Cold as it Gets" I dream in my sleep I dream in my days. "Standing" Mother, I am weak but I am strong. "Top of the World" 'Cause everyone's singing. "Florida" Isn't it hard sometimes/ Isn't it lonely "Useless Desires" Say goodbye to the old streets. "Love Throw a Line" I heard someone calling me from very far away. "When it Don't Come Easy" Red lights are flashing. "Rowing Song" The further I go, More letters from home, never arrive "Icicles" We're just like everyone else, we just want a little bit. "Kite Song" In the middle of the night, we try and try with all our might. It will make you think, thanks Patty Murph ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 May 2004 13:15:41 EDT From: FishKeeper@aol.com Subject: MM: Seattle show 6/21 Tickets go on sale 5/19 @ 10am via ticketmaster. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 May 2004 10:45:49 -0700 From: m waldman Subject: MM: Los Angeles, Ford Ampitheatre Tix on Sale Now! Just got a pair of tickets. Apparently general admission only, even though there is a seating chart for the theatre. Got 'em thru TicketBastard. If you've never been to the Ford, it's a beautiful outdoor steep-sloped ampitheatre. Hope the Angelenos spread the word and fill the seats --- there's about 1,700 of them.
