I feel ya Peter.... I've been sooo spoiled with all of Patty's stops in Michigan that she's always made and this (solo) tour she isn't coming here AT ALL. Unfortunately, the shows closest to here are on weekdays and I just couldn't make it to any of them with my work schedule. UGH. I'm glad the Sweet Harmony tour is coming thru Mich., but I'm also a bit of a brat ;P Cuz I want to see SOLO Patty and I really don't know if I can afford the Sweet Harmony show this time 'round. (Going on a few vacations this summer, leaves the "concert budget" a bit low). But i SO woulda sold my soul (well, not quite) to get to a solo ID show. i'm just a brat. :P ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You're gonna dance to jah music, dance, We're gonna dance to jah music, dance, Forget your troubles and dance, Forget your sorrows and dance, Forget your sickness and dance, Forget your weakness and dance. . ." -- Bob Marley - ----Original Message Follows---- From: lambiris.peter@cb-bc.gc.ca To: scberry@yahoo.com, roy_larsen@hotmail.com, mad-mission@smoe.org Subject: RE: MM: Re: Seattle show?? Everyone's getting a chance or two or three to see the ID tour and still there's no talk about Patty coming to Canada. I cry in my "pea soup". Fortunately I've been able to get tickets to the Cleveland "Sweet Harmony Tour Show" and will trek on over there with a couple of buddies who I've turned on to Patty. And there's Emmylou, Gillian, Buddy et al. It was so great to see everyone at the pre-show dinner in Boston. We had seating at the restaurant for 30 people, and I believe we spilled out of the room a bit! It is always fun to meet other fans, isn't it? I am always so frustrated when I go to a Patty show or in-store and I just KNOW there are people I am sitting next to who are probably just as big fans as I am..and who I may even "know" from the Internet. So, I am really happy a few of us broke through that particular degree of seperation a bit this time around. And to look around the room and see fans from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Atlanta, Wisconsin, Northern California and Seattle there...excellent!! It sounds like everyone had a good time, and I am very glad it came off so well. Thank you again to all who attended! And another thank you for not stealing the vintage Patty cassettes I passed around ;-) John F. Is it easy- BART to what bus line????anyone know? but I could drive in after work in Berkeley. Anyone else? Evan? Jerry? Denise? Paul? Steve? My concert buddy Suzanne will be in Italy then. Maybe Debbie can make it tho. Maybe a few of us could meet for dinner in the area of the Fillmore. I won't have computer access on Sun but I can call up Ticketmaster I guess and stay on hold for a while till I get them. Just got home from the Cincinnati show at the 20th Century. Awesome place to see a show. It was sold out tonight and Patty was...was...I can't find the words. I find it hard to believe that she gets better every time I see her. I have to say she seemed VERY confident...which has not always seemed the case. Her voice was strong...the band was excellent. Esp. the drummer. I could not stop watching him. They did a kick ass version of Perfect White Girls. That has not been a personal favorite...but I loved it tonight. Sorry I can't post the set list. People were just diving for the lists before she even got off the stage. We were in the second row center and did not have a chance. I will see what I can remember.....Standing (and Holy Cow it was out of this world!!!)...Making Pies... Long Ride Home...Cold As it Gets...Moses...Don't Come Easy...Icicles Falling...Mil Belsos...Truth #2 ...and I can't remember any more. It is all a beautiful blur. The only bad comment I can make is that in my humble personal opinion...they need to get another opening act. Craig Ross may be a great and creative producer ( or whatever he does) but I did not care for his act. Neither did most other people it seemed... 'cause everyone was talking. Anyways...it was a wonderful night and I can't wait to see her again...Jeanne ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 May 2004 00:34:21 -0400 From: Sharon Bolton Subject: Re: MM: Re: Seattle show??
