It saved me lost of time transposing the lyrics. Here is my interpretation of the song from the SXSW CD boot that's going around. Although I've played guitar for, ah, a very long time, I've never learned chord theory or construction. So, the names of the chords could be completely wrong and I would appreciate any corrections from the more scholarly among us. It's in standard tuning with the capo on VII for SXSW versions and on VIII for the Impossible Dream CD (at least the version ATO is streaming). It's really pretty simple with some D and G cord shapes that open the high E. For beginner guitar players, you can simply play a normal D in place of the D/E and a G/D instead of G13/GMaj7 to keep the cord changes to a minumum. The other two chords are A and Bm. I only tabbed one verse and one chores, but the pattern is pretty consistent. Be sure to print/view this text in a fixed width font, such as courier, to get everything to line up. Roy P.S. Jen, could you post this to the tab section of your site? Indeed, the title song is about Billie Holiday - the album is a fantastic mix of pop, folk and jazz. I'm sure Patty fans would love it.
