As murph listed ticketmaster then i am assuming they are charging for the SHTR.. Summerstage will launch their summer season on may 14th... Generally you can buy tickets at Irving Plaza without the ticketmaster fees.. Pattys tickets for town hall are on sale at Irving Plaza as well because its a CCE event...I am not sure if they are charging the Ticketmaster fee there.. Town Hall sells tickets at their box office three weeks before the performance without ticketmster fees.. ill swing by Irving Plaza at some point and check it out.. I have been to many summerstage events and if you want to sit outside the fenced in areas... You can hear but not see...for free.. I have friends who do that all summer...My problem is I want to see and they talk through the show so i pay and enjoy the show at the level i want to they generally put out bleachers and folding chairs or you can picnic on the lawn area and enjoy the show on a summer night.. Rain or Shine there is no protection from the rain...its on an open field in central park.. thats what i can tell you... if its a nice night.. its great.. if it rains or there is a blackout...the show goes on...THe indigo girls had the black out and rescheduled but played...a 6 song set.. I wasnt there.. i couldnt get there.. subways werent running.. sharon ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V8 #77 ********************************
