I've been on this list for years and will obsess about this until I find out!! I know it's not being released until April 20th but I can't wait - She is also coming to Boston, I JUST found out yesterday - I have no idea why I did not know this - maybe bad communication or something BUT - I can't believe there are only balcony seats left!!! I usually am near the front - I'm so bummed but you know what? I kinda don't care where I sit as long as I am there. Ok - i will be quiet for now and if anyone can please tell me where I can listen to some of this please let me know. Today I noticed 2 posts out of many from the list were auto sent to my spam folder. Can anyone explain why that was? BOth had "MM" in the subject line but so did many others that did not get sent there. Of course, I don't want any MM emails reported as spam so I clicked on the "this is not spam" tab. Can anyone offer insight on how to allow all MM subjects to get through? For the most part, I like the spam filters but don't exactly understand how they determine was is/isn't spam. I have discovered many emails there that shouldn't be. Tim ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 11 Mar 2004 09:58:43 -0500 From: "Sarah =^..^=" Subject: RE: MM: REQUEST LOVE wee! If I were a fan of a German or Australian act, I would expect to see that artist less often than in the native country or continent (if ever!!) If Patty were big enough to go anywhere in the world, I am sure she would. She is working her hardest to build a career in her home country first. So, just calm down and get over it! I think we all can agree that pattygriffin.net is the absolute ultimate site for Patty info and whatnot. Not nearly enought kudos can be given to the people behind that site! So, my question then is what is up with her "official" site, pattygriffin.com ??? I rarely ever go there but decided to take a peek a few minutes ago and realized that the news and info on OUR site (i'll take liberties and call pattygriffin.net "our site" since it's the one we all know and love) is just copied over and pasted on to the other site! Why don't they spice that one up a bit and use their own info and news or at least their own wording? ... or if not, can't they just do away with it and help promote OUR site with all the necessites (bandwidth, server space, etc. - forgive me, i'm not familiar with all the correct terminology! :D)? I'd just hate for a new Patty fan to do a Yahoo or Google search for her and find THAT site, not realizing there is a 100X better one out there! :) Well, I guess Yahoo would come up with the Jen/Murph site too, but .... hmmm... Just a guess, but I would figure that pattygriffin.com is more restrictive as I would guess most if not all on the site has to be approved etc by official PattyPeople, while for pattygriffin.net there is likely unrestrictive creative freedom. Plus, having both gives Patty more online exposure. (there really are not too many Patty sites out there) Mike ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 11 Mar 2004 13:43:15 -0500 (EST) From: Jennifer Lynn Caputo Subject: Re: MM: web sites Sarah and everyone, After about a year of doing pg.net Patty's manager asked me to do the official one too since the guy that was doing it didn't really have time to update it and they didn't have money to pay anyone to do it. I agreed and asked if we could just make .net the official site. They didn't want that because they liked the design of the one they had (I'm guessing they did spend money on that) and I'm sure it had something to do with the content on .net as well (although the link to "Discussion" on .com had gone directly to my page since day 1). They said I could get rid of .net (and not have to pay for it anymore) and move most of the content over to .com but obviously it would have to be in the format of the .com site and some of the content couldn't come. Well... I couldn't let go of my baby so I decided to keep them both and continue paying for .net. Now, it seemed that all they really wanted updated on .com was the tour dates and the news and the occasional image change of the new album when one came out. I already had all of my content in databases and the pages were dynamically created so instead of wasting time copying and pasting to .com I just made those pages dynamic as well and linked them into my .net databases. Now, anytime myself or Murph updates the .net page the .com page gets automatically updated as well with minimal work for everyone involved. Was that way more than you wanted to know? hehe :-) - Jen *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ http://www-personal.engin.umich.edu/~jcaputo/ http://www.pattygriffin.net/ ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 11 Mar 2004 14:37:05 -0500 From: sdgold60@optonline.net Subject: MM: Re: Listening to the new CD hey there you need to talk to gravely girl directly... i keep getting mail from her response to my post this morning.. thanks for hte B&N heads up... sharon - ----- Original Message ----- From: Scott Zimmerman Date: Thursday, March 11, 2004 10:56 am Subject: Re: Listening to the new CD > Sharon, > Barnes and Noble has audio clips of all 11 songs on the album. > app. 20 > seconds each.
