I believe this is the most productive and compassionate way to look at this whole issue. Whether someone believes in 'war' or not, we must STILL show the troops some support and encouragement while they are giving their lives for ANY CAUSE. ...can't wait to hear Patty's new record, but I'm not willing to pay the $100 + and fight the crowds at SXSW to see her performance at Stubbs. Maybe she'll do a non-showcase performance at some point like she did last year. sheryl in Austin What is really great? Seems our soldiers really will have the respect of many people when they get back home! Something we didn't have, returning from Vietnam. For those who would tell them something like..."Your buddies died, cause your President lied!" Please don't do that! That is disrespectful to the soldier, who is bound by his oath. Whatever you believe, remember the Soldiers don't have a choice. They are fighting a war, regardless of what it is about, or what you think it's about, they're not going to walk away. They are, and have to, remain focused on their jobs. You know, every single day, lives depend on it. Now that the media has backed somewhat away from terrorism and Iraq, except for how it effects the campaigns and elections, it seems more important for individuals to remember, and support, our troops. It's not likely they'll be home for a while, no matter who's elected President next January. VERY important MM list message! Hullo there, It might not be that subcribers from AOL are reporting the list as spam, it could be just that AOL's new spam filters read the list mail as BULK and consider it spam, automatically putting them in the SPAM FOLDER -- especially if there are active links in the mail. This AOL problem is common with other mailing list mailers such as Yahoo!Groups, SmartGroups, Topica and such. I am currently on DIGEST and usually find at least two of them in the SPAM FOLDER that I must retrieve manually by clicking THIS IS NOT SPAM and hoping that takes care of it. (Of course it doesn't, but blind optimism dies hard.) If you do not remove the mail from that particular folder, it will treat all other similar mail as spam, thus creating a bigger problem. If you are not using AOL 9.0, you have to go to KEYWORD: SPAM FOLDER to see its contents, as older versions do not automatically show it as part of your mail box. Just a note for those of you who find the volume of INDIVIDUAL mails daunting, please consider the nice and neat DIGEST version. But you must still of course check your spam folders daily. Such is AOL life post-Version 9.0 release, with their super-helpful spam blockers. *sigh* Hope this helps a bit. I was gonna take her away to Disney World and/or visit relatives and friends for 2 weeks so Jayne could study and sleep in peace and hopefully pass and get out of college! We can hit Fla before or after those concerts - I am good at scheming about these things. Where is she going to play that Sat????? I have maybe another week to hold off on making reservations. Maybe by Mar 10 I should do it. Anyway I am so psyched- I went off to the labor camp (for the 13th day in a row) so cheerfully this morning- I want to meet some of you guys this time.
