It must be something about this time of year. I, too, feel the need to say thank you. It's so nice to be part of a family of fans...I have met many wonderful people through MM and PG.net. So many people willing to share the gift of good music. I truly believe music has the ability to heal. Along with the music...so many share the details of their lives and are open to listening to my ramblings. So, thank you everyone. Thank you Patty for letting us eavesdrop on the passion you put to words and music. Blessings, Kim :) It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing. --Oriah Mountain Dreamer - ----Original Message Follows---- From: Sharon Bolton To: mad-mission@smoe.org Subject: MM: Thanks Date: Thu, 27 Nov 2003 23:40:43 - -0500 Hey everyone, Just wanted to say, before the day was out, thanks, for the existence of this beautiful list of beautiful people. I've been on this list for about a year now and have come to love the moment when I get to sit down and have some "Mom Time" and read and learn from all of you. Thanks for letting me in on all of the "Patty Scoop", without it I never would have been able to be there when the time came to see her for the first time in concert. Not to mention the second time, to see her in concert with The Songwriters in front row center seats when I watched my 11 year old daughter hand her a bag of M&M's! I received my copy of A Kiss in Time on my doorstep on the day it was released because of the information available on this list. Not to mention all of the great extra stuff coming by way of the weeding. It has been a great year for Patty and a truly great year for me. I wish the same for all of you. Thank you! Thank you so much! Sharon - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Set yourself up for fun at home! I'm hoping to get a copy of a show or two as a holiday gift to my friend. We made the journey to the Seattle show from Boise, and she's said to me several times how she wishes she could re-live that show. By the way, I was on my way to the venue to see what time the show started at about 12:30 pm. I had seen a tour bus nearby and wondered if I might see anyone. Just then, coming around the corner was a guy holding a small kid, then a very small woman in a RED raincoat. I looked at her big sunken eyes and yelled "PATTY?!" She looked at me but kept walking. "PATTY?!" She had a slight grin but kept walking. "PATTY???!" Her back is to me now. Then, for all the world to hear, I wailed, "CAN'T I JUST SAY HI??????!!!" Pathetic, huh? I had traveled so far and just wanted a "hi." The guy kept looking back at me making sure I wasn't stalking her. I know it's wrong, but I was a mixture of excited and very bummed. I'm on her street team in Boise and have put posters up everywhere. The show that night however was the best I have ever seen. I gave my donation of M&M's to one of the venue staff who said she was collecting them for the girls. If someone has the time, could you please contact me about what you might have to share and what I need to do as far as sending discs/postage? Thanks so much. Would someone please email me off of this list if there is a copy floating around somewhere I could get my hands on? Apologies if this went around already and I missed it. Thanks!
