I've been on this list for about a year now and have come to love the moment when I get to sit down and have some "Mom Time" and read and learn from all of you. Thanks for letting me in on all of the "Patty Scoop", without it I never would have been able to be there when the time came to see her for the first time in concert. Not to mention the second time, to see her in concert with The Songwriters in front row center seats when I watched my 11 year old daughter hand her a bag of M&M's! I received my copy of A Kiss in Time on my doorstep on the day it was released because of the information available on this list. Not to mention all of the great extra stuff coming by way of the weeding. It has been a great year for Patty and a truly great year for me. I wish the same for all of you. Thank you! Thank you so much! Sharon ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Nov 2003 23:40:52 -0500 From: Sharon Bolton Subject: MM: Dar Weed Thank you Dana! You are an amazing person. Thank you for the Dar Williams cd's. The 2001 NYC concert is of great quality and Dar was in her element that night. The bonus cd is great. I am willing to weed to the first 5 people who send me their addresses. Happy Thanksgiving. Bye the way, I tried the French Martini's tonight. I am still writing and yet I am "One with the Universe". Love and Blessings, Sharon :) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Nov 2003 04:49:39 +0000 From: danalee7@comcast.net Subject: Re: MM: Dar Weed Thank you, Sharon- very nice of you and thank you also for passing on Dar. They're great shows. Contact me off list, but know that I won't be able to send out until late next week, so there will be a bit of a wait. Just have to chime in while I have the floor, so to speak, that this year has been a big one for me. I fulfilled a dream by making my first CD, and doing some tv and things--as I was driving home from college with a few friends for Thanksgiving last night, we had '1,000 Kisses' playing--I've recently turned on tons and tons of friends to Patty--and after an entire listening, instead of changing the cd to some other artists, all three friends had the very same thought that finally one spoke aloud--"Can we listen to the whole thing through again?". And we did. Patty's music transcends all people, all places. Never have I felt that someone's music could so drastically strike a chord with everyone who hears it. So, as cliche as it sounds, what I'm most thanksful for on this Thanksgiving night is Patty Griffin. And thank you to the friends I've made on this list...
