We saw her both at the greenfield balloon festival as well as the free schenectedy show. Some of my favourites live were Top of the World, Mary, Flaming Red (which i never really got into on the record) and Moses. Her voice is just so incredibly powerful. I had the pleasure of meeting her after the scehectedy show and she seemed to like my odd t-shirt that has this weird pink panther iron-on as well as the name PATTY on it. She said she might want to steal my idea and make a shirt for herself like that one. she DID say she was recording a new album and found it a little strange to be out of the studio. i had hoped to meet some mad missioners at both shows but felt shy to ask anyone about it....anyone recognize me from the show? would love to touch base as they were both such unique shows. hope you are all well adam Yahoo! Got all dressed up in a dress and did a beautiful 6 song acoustic set which included her big hit, "One Big Line..." and also Patty's "I Write the Book" Richard Thompson came out of his dressing room to see Darcie for himself and he does like her. The reason this has anything to do with Patty is that, when you get the newsletter sent to your email box, it's addressed from none other than, yes, Patty Griffin, same spelling and all. You can imagine the "Huh?" response I had the first time I saw a message from Patty Griffin in my email box. Just thought I'd pass along that odd occurence.
