Anyways, I wanted to say it makes me proud they're using the mic for something they believe in, I am proud of them! When I see that stuff I cringe too -- no matter how much money it's making Patty, it'd still be nice for the mainstream audiences to know those are HER songs and that incredible songwriting talent is HERS, not theirs. Not that I begrudge the Chicks their own talents, I do think they're talented and I dig them a little bit. Just would like to see Patty get her credit AND her money :) Sarah ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You're gonna dance to jah music, dance, We're gonna dance to jah music, dance, Forget your troubles and dance, Forget your sorrows and dance, Forget your sickness and dance, Forget your weakness and dance. . ." -- Bob Marley >From: "Lisa Zwick" >To: "mad-mission" >Subject: Re: MM: Patty Songs Mentioned in NYT Dixie Chicks Review >Date: Tue, 24 Jun 2003 20:54:08 -0400 > >Yeah, they just had to use Patty's words to express themselves... >It's kind of annoying constantly hearing these songs called "their" single, >as if they wrote it. > >Yes, I know...the whole thing about it's good for Patty etc...don't repeat >it. > > >-Lisa > >---- >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Bonnie Lombard" >To: ; >Sent: Tuesday, June 24, 2003 9:20 AM >Subject: Re: MM: Patty Songs Mentioned in NYT Dixie Chicks Review > > > > I have so much respect for these women.
