The station sponsoring this would most likely be WYEP. Here are two observations I have had: 1 - I heard a DJ mention that Aimee Mann will be coming back this summer. (Although, she offered no details.) 2 - I have noticed that they seem to try to space out their major announcements. They are currently involved in at the Pittsburgh Arts Festival and just a couple days ago had a "major concert announcement" (which was Richard Thompson). They keep their website updated regularly, and they have a very good concert schedule. If you are looking to make plans, watch wyep.org. Thinking the same thing, I contacted WYEP yesterday and got this response: "I know they are looking to book it later in the summer - maybe August - but things have not been confirmed. You'll definitely see it on our web site concert calendar and on-air when it's confirmed. I was wondering if anyone had any special information about Willie Nelson's Fourth of July Picnic. I know Patty's playing and I'm planning on going (I'm camping and everything! I'm so excited!) I've never been to one of the Picnics and I'm not really sure how they work. Is anyone else planning on going? All you Texans or potential Texans come out of the woodwork and let me know! I've never seen her live even though I spend lots of time in Austin (the timing just never works out) and I'm really looking forward to it.
