Hi Everyone, I have yet to see Patty live and was excited to hear that she would be in Pittsburgh August 9 ... only a few hours drive. So, I looked at ticketmaster as well as the Chevrolet Amphitheatre's websites and have not found any info about the festival. Does anyone have more details or know where I could find some info on the festival, tickets, etc.? Thanks so much, I would hate to miss an opportunity to see Patty live! It was really amazing to hear them mention Patty's name, tell everyone how much they like her, and to hear her lyrics filling the United Center. Before they sang Top of the World, the lead singer Natalie mentioned that this was her favorite song of the album. They also showed us a video for it that they had just finished. It is a little creepy when they superimpose Natalie's face over the old man who is the center of the story, but I overall it was pretty good. I hope this means that they will be releasing Top of the World as a single sometime soon! For those who are interested in doing something cool to pass the time while we wait for new Patty shows... (Gretchen, this includes you!) The amazing Singer/Songwriter Bree Sharp is playing at Celebrate Fairfax (in Fairfax, VA) this Saturday evening, June 7th @ 10pm. It seems that most people who enjoy Patty definitely enjoy Bree's live shows. Patty is one of Bree's biggest influences, and she's been known to play "Makin' Pies" live.. and I even heard she did a breathtaking version of "Long Ride Home" during her sound check here in Harrisburg the other week! *Gasp* (oh how I'd LOVE to hear that one...) I've gotten a few people from MM to listen to her CDs, then to go see her live. It seems the general consensus is that the CDs are OK, but her live shows are amazing. Either way, she's definitely worth the price of admission to the fair, which is cool all by itself. I think there are 6 or 7 stages overall, with music going all day. Lots of food vendors, fireworks every night, good stuff. :-) The word has been issued. Dave ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V7 #147 *********************************
