The first time I saw her, I walked into a coffeehouse & there was Darcie singing Poor Man's House. Unreal! She CAN play the songs Murph mentions, as well as just about every song Patty's ever written. Definite standouts are Tony, Moses, I Write The Book, & Christina. Not only does she deliver them with passion like Patty (which most others lack), she reinvents some of them as her own songs. Sometimes you want to hear a cover that's the same as the original, but it's always nice to have the artists put a bit of themselves into it too. Darcie does a phenominal job of that. Person one, if you were bothering to describe something as "the bomb" why did you even bother to use "the?" You could have just as easily lost my respect with the popular "da." Hee. I am so malicious. Second of all, to whomever (in addition to malicious I am forgetful) was telling me that the trick to meeting Patty would be to get her to want to meet me, therefore she would not be fan-shy... HOW ON EARTH AM I GOING TO DO THAT?! I could organize and raise money for countless charities, but that would be doing it for the wrong reason. Also, I cannot sing at all. Singing for ANYTHING is out. Acting, not out, but what does she do that is theatre related? Also swimming, but I doubt she would be willing to a) be a guest coach thing or b) do anything else that wouldn't be a guest coach thing. Maybe, just maybe, I could challenge her to a duel in the pool, and we could raise money for however many laps we swim, and donate our money to the charity of the winner's choice. That's the best idea I've come up with in about twenty four hours. HELP ME. Personal: Another day went by in my country side small-town middleschool with my small-town friends. Eve Ensler is on the cover and it's sold at most Barnes & Noble stories. It's a pretty good interview, mostly about the music business.
