I am a newcomer to Mad Mission, but have loved Patty's music since the first day I heard it, which was sometime in an SUV last summer on the way to swim practice. Heh. Anyway, I'm introducing myself as Insley (ins-lee) and letting you all know I am here now, since I'm sure that's the answer to your prayers. Hee. I am on a mission (a mad, mad mission) to meet Patty Griffin. It is not impossible, and thus, it will be done. Anyway, dropping by for the first time to say my hellos. "Hello!" Does anyone know if Patty is planning on coming up the East Coast anytime soon? Specifically Maryland or Washington, D.C.? I know she's going to be in Massachusettes (oooh I really hope I spelt that correctly), but any pit-stop-making in the D.C. or Maryland area? Insley Who Loves Patty Griffin Who if she had a car would make a bumper sticker that says "I LOVE PATTY GRIFFIN." Hee. __________________________________________________________________ Try AOL and get 1045 hours FREE for 45 days! http://free.aol.com/tryaolfree/index.adp?375380 Get AOL Instant Messenger 5.1 for FREE! Patty plays the east coast pretty often. I know she has family in Philly & Annapolis.. so the DC area is always hit up a few times during a Patty "tour". There is no big tour planned at the moment, as Patty's laying low right now (probably writing a bunch of good stuff for all of us).. but when she does lay low she always seems to throw in some dates here or there to test out the new material on us. Usually included in those shows are Philly/DC area dates (as well as Boston, NYC, Nashville, etc..), because she likes to make her most loyal fans the guinea pigs. Lucky Us! So.. don't get too discouraged if you don't see anything soon. I'm sure she'll be around before too long. Take care, and once again welcome to the newbies! Hey all-- I think in the past there has been some discussion of this song on this forum, but I didn't get it. Can anyone tell me if Patty wrote it? Is it recorded? Does anyone have tabs? I saw Patty in Austin last weekend and she was amazing.
