I know this is a good place to ask for some info from a Tom Waits fan. So, here goes: Tom is starting to grow on me. Just saw Big Time this weekend, for the first time. Tom had me by Way Down in the Hole, which I think is the second song he performs on this film. Anyway, my problem is I'm not sure which album to begin with. I like the bluesier sounding songs, like the one already mentioned and Hang On St. Christopher. Any suggestions? Also, can anyone else hear Patty singing Hang On St. Christopher and just tearing it up? Closing time is what you want. By the way, I'm not hip to Big Time so I looked it up on Netflix. This is what I got, I don't suppose Tom Waits did the soundtrack for this? Bear in the Big Blue House: Potty Time with Bear (2001) Join Bear for this gentle, humorous approach to "potty training" that helps encourage young ones to learn how to use the toilet all by themselves. Features a bevy of humorous and instructional songs. Big Time is a live concert/performance piece. If you're a Tom Waits fan, you have to see it! Thanks for recommendation. Closing Time is on my to buy list. Heart Attack and Vine has Ruby's Arms and one of my favorite songs, "On the Nickel", but is less cohesive overall. Small Change has a great version of "Somewhere" ________________________________________________________________ Sign Up for Juno Platinum Internet Access Today Only $9.95 per month! Just a note, Mad Missioners, apparently though the VVAF uses PayPal for their donations, they do not use the "Note" feature on their payments, as I had thought they would, so sadly, we are unable to tell them that the donationis in Patty's name. But we'll be sure to tell Patty!! Instead of choosing "Other" under 'Where did you hear about us?", I'd suggest entering "Concerts For a Landmine Free World" instead, since that indirectly acknowledges Patty. Stay tuned for more information on prizes! ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Feb 2003 13:20:06 -0500 From: Gary Jacques Subject: MM: KayCee Kaycee, I have your copy of "Satan Good or Evil?" ready for you, but I deleted your address.
